Kayak Cache

Paddle, steer, and beach on the island.

The current carries your kayak down the river on its own. You steer. Beach on the island's sand at the end of the river to clear the level. Drift past either side of the island and the level starts again. Hit it too fast and you crash, so slow down as it comes up: a red "Slow down" sign turns green when your speed is safe for landing.

Hold a side to paddle that way. On a phone or tablet, hold a finger on the left or right half of the river. On a keyboard, hold the left or right arrow key, or A or D. Let go and the water slowly stops your sideways drift. To slow down, hold the Brake button at the bottom of the river, or the down arrow key or S, and you back-paddle. Let go and the current picks you up again.

Rocks and fallen logs end the run, and the level starts again from the beginning. The banks are soft: you just stop against them.

Watch for wildlife. Other kayakers weave down the river, beavers swim across it dragging a stick, and bears at the water's edge swipe at boats that come close. A bear rears up before it swipes, so keep away from its bank or wait for the paw to come down. Touching any of them ends the run.

White water marks the rapids. They push you sideways until you are through them, so paddle against the push.

Ammo cans float in the open water. Collect them for stars, but you never need them to clear a level.

Each cleared level is checked by the server and saved, so a level you have cleared stays cleared. Clear every level to unlock the reveal.

Opening these rules pauses the run. Sound and vibration are off until you turn them on with the buttons above the river.
