One CacheSleuth account for your puzzle texts, the caches you build, and your short links.

Sign in once and the same account works everywhere on the site: it syncs My Puzzle Texts across your devices, keeps a dashboard of the geocaches you build, and manages your short links. No email needed, just a username and passphrase. Your notes are end-to-end encrypted on your device first, so we can never read them.

Cloud sync and account

Optionally back up your puzzle texts to our cloud and sync them to your other devices. Your notes are end-to-end encrypted on this device before they leave it, so we can never read them. You need your username and passphrase to unlock them, on any device.

Signing in merges this device's notes with your cloud copy. Nothing is overwritten, conflicts keep both versions.

Lost your passphrase and your recovery key?

The encrypted copy on our server cannot be opened without one of them. We do not hold a key, so there is nothing we can unlock for you.

Your notes may still exist in plain form in the browser you used before. Open My Puzzle Texts on that same device and browser, and export them before you do anything else. Signing out or clearing site data there would remove your last copy.

The geocaches you have built and your short links are not encrypted, so those can be moved to a new account. Create the new account first, then contact us with both usernames and we can transfer them.
