Golden Ammo Can Toss Cache Builder

Build a physics launcher geocache. Fling the ammo can far enough down the trail to unlock the reveal.

Free, just a username and passphrase, no email. Caches you build show up in My Caches so you can reopen and edit them without hunting for the edit link, and watch plays and wins. The same account syncs My Puzzle Texts across devices and manages your short links.

My Caches

Golden Ammo Can Toss is a physics launcher. A trebuchet at the trailhead flings a golden ammo can down a wooded trail, bouncing off springy tree boughs and benches, slowed by mud and thickets, until it comes to rest or hits a tree trunk. Reaching your target distance in a single throw reveals the final coordinates or keyword. The server replays every throw before releasing anything, so nothing can be faked from the browser.

Coordinates are released only when the server replays the finder's throw and confirms it genuinely reached the target. A target set well above the difficulty default gets frustrating on a phone, so classic suits most caches.
Anything you create here is public to anyone with the link, and you are responsible for what you publish. Keep a copy of your edit key, it is the only way to change or delete your cache later.

Your cache

Shown to players as a link to your cache page.

Only the site admin can see this, in case they need to reach you about your cache. Never shown to players.

Run settings

Difficulty

How far the can must travel in one throw to win. Filled in from the difficulty default; change difficulty to update it, unless you have typed your own.

How many mid-flight forward boosts the finder gets on a throw. 1 to 5, 3 is a good default.

The trail layout is generated fresh for every cache; only difficulty, target distance, and boosts are yours to set. There is no level authoring.

On solve, reveal

Shown only after a player reaches the target distance. Reveal either the final coordinates or a keyword, not both.

Where can I host an image for free?

Paste a direct https:// link to an image. Free image hosts that give a direct link include ImgBB, postimages.org, and Cloudinary. A geocaching.com image link works too. The link must start with https://.

Keep your cache in play to keep it live. Share the play link so people visit it; unused caches are cleaned up over time.
